Patriots: New England should throw away the film from last weeks loss in Kansas City. Bill looks to have moved on and his focus is on how to stop the Bengals. In the NFL, Cincinnati is as complete a team as any. New England’s offensive-line looked completely unprepared for the Chiefs pass-rush. The Bengals have as good, if not better, defensive front and the Patriots will need to solidify their offensive-line if they have any chance of pulling off the win at home on Sunday night. So far his season, the only Patriots who have consistently showed up are receiver Julian Edelman and special teams captain Mathew Slater. The Patriots offense is perhaps its weakest unit under Bill Belichick and Tom Brady. In the past, Brady has done more with less, however, the offensive-line was always accountable. So far, the offensive-line that starts two rookies doesn’t look up to the task. If the Patriots are going to win, they’ll need to rely heavily on the defense and special teams to carry them.

Bengals: Cincinnati is perhaps the best team in the NFL outside of the Seattle Seahawks. What separates these two teams is coaching. Marvin Lewis has been the Bengals coach for the better part of the last decade, and still has yet to make a deep playoff run. Some question Lewis’ ability to win in the big moments. Historically, the Bengals under Lewis and Dalton have not fared well in prime time games. If the Bengals are to beat the Patriots they’ll need to out coach them. With two weeks to prepare for this game, expect the Bengals to have a solid game plan.
