Bet on New England Patriots Vs Denver Broncos Week 9

The New England Patriots are coming off their most dominant performance of the season. Last Sunday, the Patriots dismantled the Chicago Bears. Brady was 30 for 35 and threw for five touchdowns on the afternoon. It was a sensational performance. Rob Gronkowski imposed his will much of the afternoon. Defensively, the Bears could not match New England’s personnel. No matter who guarded Gronk, the Bears’ defense was unable to prevent the Brady to Gronk connection. If the Patriots are going to win this week, Gronkowski is going to have to continue his dominance.

The Denver Broncos are coming off a highly anticipated divisional game against the San Diego Chargers. The Chargers were playing at an extremely high level entering the Thursday contest. Peyton Manning was a machine throwing for three scores on the night. All three touchdowns went to Emmanuel Sanders, who had 9 catches on 9 targets for 120 yards. Manning’s magnificent season is due in large part to his weapons at receiver. Manning has spread the ball around every game and it’s nearly impossible to predict which of his star receivers he will target. If the Broncos are to win on Sunday, Manning will have to overcome Belichick’s defensive game-plan and find the open receiver.

Team Breakdowns

Patriots: Tom Brady and the offense are finally clicking on all cylinders. Despite the loss of Steven Ridley, the Patriot’s ground game is steadily improving. Shane Vereen plays the receiving-back role while Jonas Gray plays the role of lead-back. Gray’s breakout performance last week displayed the improved cohesion of the offensive-line. With the offensive-line pulling their weight, Brady has time to find an open receiver. While Julian Edelman did not receive his usual amount of targets, that had less to do with a lack of confidence and more to do with Brady’s improved comfort with other options. One of those other options is Brandon LaFell. LaFell’s down field presence is a major reason for the Patriot’s success. Brady always talks about “trust” and it seems that the relationship between Brady and LaFell has made major strides. The Patriot’s offense is notorious for being complicated and much of what Brady does is timing based. It is hard to build that relationship in the preseason, but it seems now that Brady and LaFell have real chemistry. Look for Brady to spread the ball around against a fast Broncos defense.

Broncos: Peyton Manning is having another MVP caliber season. The Broncos played on Thursday night, which means they have had extra time to prepare. The Broncos are slight favorites on the road in Foxborough at Gillette Stadium. The Patriots are rarely an underdog at home, which is a testament to the Broncos dominance thus far on the year. Peyton finds the open receiver and doesn’t need to rely on any single person. Belichick will try to force Manning to run the ball. In the past, this usually favors New England. Ronnie Hillman, however, is the answer to the Broncos poor running game. Since taking over for the injured Montee Ball, he’s added a new dimension to the Broncos offense. That’s bad news for a Patriots squad that’s struggled to stop the run since Jerod Mayo’s injury.

Free Pick

The game is all about Tom Brady Vs Peyton Manning. This game is the game of the year. It’s the regular season’s version of the Superbowl and it’s always exciting. The Patriots are finding their form at the right time. The Patriots might be the underdog but it’s hard to bet against Brady and Belichick at home. Expect a very tight game with both teams putting up a lot of points. Pick the Patriots to upset the Broncos and cover the spread.
