My Pick

Dallas Cowboys Analysis…

The Cowboys went into their bye week on a two game losing streak, but snapped the streak with an emphatic 40-10 road victory against the San Francisco 49ers, who had been in all but one of their six previous games, despite their 0-6 record.

Ezekiel Elliott was the difference maker on Sunday, finishing the game with 147 rushing yards and 2 touchdowns on 26 carries, to go along with one catch for 72 yards and 1 touchdown. Making it the second consecutive game he has gone over 100 yards this season.

However, the Cowboys could be playing their last game with Ezekiel Elliott in the lineup for a while because the temporary restraining order that allowed him to play this week and next week will expire on October 30th, meaning he will have to serve his six game suspension unless the courts rule in his favor.

Dak Prescott was also impressive against the 49ers, finishing with 234 passing yards and 3 touchdowns, as well as one rushing touchdown.

With Elliott running the ball so well, expect the Cowboys to emphasize the run again this week.

Washington Redskins Analysis…

At 3-3, the Redskins find themselves in the same boat as the Cowboys, and need to win this game to get back above .500. After losing their season series to the Philadelphia Eagles, the Redskins will need to finish with a better record than the Eagles to win the division, which is easier said than done.

However, thanks to the NFC having a bunch of teams at 3-3 and 4-3, the Redskins still have a good chance of earning a Wildcard playoff berth.

Washington’s offense has been pretty good this year with the team scoring 23.4 points per game, which is 12th in the league. Their defense hasn’t been as consistent, but their 22.6 points allowed per game is still good for 19th in the league.

After their season opening loss to the Eagles, the Redskins have won three of their last five games, with wins coming against the NFC West leading Los Angeles Rams, and Oakland Raiders.

Expect them to give the Cowboys all that they can handle in this one.

Final word…

The Cowboys looked great against the 49ers, but beating a 0-7 team isn’t the same as a 3-3 team, so I’m picking the Redskins to get the win at home. Take Washington +2.5.

Play: Redskins +2.5
