The 49ers will not have as much success this week when they travel to a rowdy Mile High stadium. When Peyton was not too busy passing to his favorite target, he settled for Thomas2.0. Julius Thomas is emerging as the best tight-end in the league. With Peyton Manning at quarterback, he’s basically unstoppable. It’s a tossup at this point to which Thomas will catch the record breaker.

49ers: San Francisco has been entirely written off this week. If you’re listening to the experts it’s almost a foregone conclusion that the Broncos will hold serve at home. The 49ers need to use this as bulletin board material. The NFC West is the most complete division in football and every week each team is in a battle for first place. The 49ers cannot afford to fall behind the Cardinals and the Seahawks. If the 49ers want to win this week they’ll need to dial-up the running game. Taking the ball out of Peyton’s hands is the only way to stop the Broncos offensive machine. The 49ers defense will need to force turnovers and get pressure on Payton. If the 49ers can hold the Broncos to under 24 points, then they’ll have a chance to pull off the upset.

It was easily the best production from the running-back position for Denver all season. San Francisco will have to rely on Colin Kaepernick if they have any chance of pulling off the upset.
