Here are the morning line odds and post positions for this years Florida Derby. The odds will change leading up to the race depending on the amount of money wagered on each horse.

Fierceness is the favorite at odds of 8/5, while Conquest Warrior (3-1) and Hades (7-2) are also right there as the other top contenders. The odds then lengthen significantly to Frankie’s Empire at 12-1.
My Pick
I have to go with Hades in this race. This horse has won all three races he’s competed in, including winning the Holy Bull Stakes last month, finishing ahead of Fierceness who finished 3rd in that race. The Florida Derby is a longer distance, so it will be interesting to see how the horses respond, but until Hades loses a race, I have to back him.
