Dayton pulled off a huge upset yesterday when they were able to beat Ohio State by 1 point in a back and forth battle that was decided in the last few touches. Dayton looked very good in this game and if they can build on it they will be a difficult opponent for Syracuse.
The Orange did as expected and beat the West Michigan Orange by 22 points. Now is when things start to get interesting for Syracuse. Will they be able to find their form from earlier in the season?

I like Dayton +240 in this one. We all saw yesterday that Dayton is a legitimate team that can battle with top schools from the bigger Conferences. Dayton finished off their season strong winning every game except the ones against Saint Josephs since February 1st. They beat Ohio State and Saint Louis in this span and have looked good in games away from home.
Syracuse was amazing to start the season winning their first 25 games, but they’ve stumbled since at a time when it’s horrible to stumble. After those 25 wins Syracuse lost 5 of their next 7 games in the ACC before beating West Michigan last night. Now some may say that win will be enough to get them out of their funk, but I’m not convinced. They will still be lacking in confidence going into this one and a spirited effort from Dayton should be enough to pull out another upset victory.
I think we will be seeing Dayton as a #11 seed in the Sweet Sixteen next weekend, with Syracuse wondering what could have been after such a strong start to the season. Take Dayton +240 to pull off the upset.
