The 2024 Belmont Stakes is set to take place at Saratoga Race Course this Saturday, June 8th. The race has a post time of 6:41pm EST and will be broadcast on FOX from 4-7pm.
This will be the first time the event takes place at Saratoga Race Course because of renovations at Belmont Park. The race will be run at 10 furlongs (1.25 miles) instead of the usual 12 furlongs (1.5 miles) because the track at Saratoga is smaller than at Belmont Park.
There will be no Triple Crown on the line at this years Belmont Stakes race. Mystik Dan, the Kentucky Derby winner, was unable to follow up his Derby victory with a win at the Preakness, finishing in 2nd place behind Seize the Grey. That said, the Belmont Stakes is still one of the most bet on horse races of the US horse racing season and I expect plenty of bets placed on the race this Saturday.
